My Story

The story behind Dogs Dig It and what inspires our love for dogs

The Story Behind Dogs Dig It

Dogs Dig It is a calm, heart-led business, created from a deep love of dogs and a desire to help them live comfortable, happy lives — free from unnecessary pain and stress.

Whether your dog is stiff, sore, ageing, recovering or simply not quite themselves, I’d love to hear from you — and help them feel more comfortable in their body and at ease in their day.

My Philosophy & Approach

I believe every dog deserves to feel comfortable, supported and understood as an individual. My approach is gentle and holistic — considering the whole dog: their physical comfort, mobility and emotional wellbeing.

The Dogs, The Lessons and The Love That Shaped My Journey

I have been blessed with 4-legged companions that have shown me the incredible bond we share with our dogs and the quiet, unwavering support they provide simply by being by our side.

Denver

Denver came into my life in 2002 and was the beginning of a deeper understanding of dogs.
Through Denver, I was introduced to alternative feeding, which sparked my curiosity and became the beginning of my ongoing studies into canine nutrition and wellbeing.
But Denver was so much more than the beginning of my learning journey. He was my constant companion through some of life’s biggest moments, teaching me about love, loyalty, strength and resilience.

Fletcher

Dogs Dig It was named with the help of my beautiful dog Fletcher, who passed away in 2023.
The name holds a very special place in my heart because it reflects his personality and the role he played in shaping Dogs Dig It.
Fletcher reminded me of the importance of connection, compassion and appreciating every dog for who they are.

Maggie

Maggie, my beautiful senior girl, has been one of my greatest teachers.
Through her, I have learnt the importance of patience, observation and truly listening to what our dogs are communicating.
She continues to remind me that every dog is an individual and that understanding them means taking the time to notice the small changes and honour who they are.

Lil

Lil brings her own beautiful energy to my life and work.
Her loving, fun and lively nature, she reminds me of the importance of joy, playfulness, and living in the moment.
She represents the next chapter of Dogs Dig It and the continuing learning that comes from the beautiful dogs beside us.
